Dear Mrs Hetz,
As principal of the Markgraf-Georg-Friedrich-Gymnasium I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences on your loss.

Your husband was not only a personality whose life was and will remain closely linked to the history of our school. He also strongly underlined these ties by setting up his foundation.
All the students who - through his help - were able to spend a school year in the United States will be forever grateful for an unforgettable experience.

As for me, I will always remember with gratitude the conversations I had with your husband. In these conversations his experience of life and zest for life always shone through.  There is no denying the fact that I felt a certain congeniality of nature between us.


Parents, teachers, students and everybody else involved with the school as well as myself will always treasure his memory.
